Satisfied lies an idle mind
As they allow all their progress to be confined
Like white plagues they follow each other
Crowded together they seek out the cover
Gravity pulls a shadow of darkness down
Over the masses and all self belief is drowned
In the water stagnant as it stands
Whispering the thoughts of the common man
Echoes of yesterday ring out through these unchanging plains
I need a sign i am losing faith, but the sheep won’t understand my pain
Fingers claw upon their minds so fragile
Don’t succumb to the failure of mankind
Don’t walk the earth in vain, leave your trace behind
Can you see it in their eyes?
The look is reflected, but they don’t realise
Can you see it in their smile? It’s like they’ve got something to hide
Somewhere down deep inside, behind the lies
Sits the person that was before
Can you see it in your own mind?
The grasp of ignorance
Gather be seated this won't be repeated
With sadness you’re greeted, as we’ve been defeated
Under the covers, of darkness they slumber
Wearing the virtues of a thousand before them
Don’t take what they give you, you’ll be invited, but so is everyone
They can see it in your eyes, there’s something more to you
Depleted in despair we stand here, to our eyes it’s clear
This fear controls them
At first I wasn't so sure about getting this one, it was part of a long list of music I had to listen to, and I knew that at the time I liked it and kept it in my list to buy for a reason but couldn't remember why, but I do remember now, this is way too intense to be forgotten, you made a new fan to this day and will follow you closely from now on!
